Southern Winds Hospital – Hialeah Detox and Rehab Services

What Southern Winds Hospital – Hialeah offers, on record, is residential treatment and partial hospitalization. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Southern Winds Hospital – Hialeah Address, Location and Contact Information

4225 West 20th Avenue, Hialeah, Florida, 33012 is the address held. The city lies within Miami-Dade County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

The team here does a great job of taking care of their patients. I believe the main issue is lack of resources. These women go above and beyond! Thank you for bringing me back to my roots and my family.

There is no humanity in this place. My clothes were being stolen. That such despicable acts could happen in the world's leading power seems inconceivable. Everything went missing, and it was considered normal by them. I… hope God will bring some order to places where a glimmer of hope is so desperately needed.

Recommend – Exceptional Support from Maibys and DaneyisI am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care and support provided by the patient advocate, Maibys, and her manager, Daneyis, at Southern Winds Hospital.… Navigating healthcare can be very stressful, but Maibys went completely above and beyond to listen to my concerns, communicate clearly, and ensure everything was handled properly.Daneyis was equally wonderful, providing excellent leadership and making sure our needs were fully met with professionalism and genuine kindness. It is rare to find a team so dedicated to patient well-being and clear communication. Thank you both, Maibys and Daneyis, for making such a positive difference during a challenging time!

Southern Winds Hospital is truly a place where patients are treated with compassion, dignity, and genuine care. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes every effort to ensure patients feel safe, heard, and… supported during difficult times. Their kindness, patience, and commitment to providing quality mental health care make a real difference not only for the patients but also for their families. Thank you to the entire team for the incredible work you do every day. Your compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team at the hospital for the exceptional care my family member received. From the very beginning, every doctor, nurse, technician, and staff member treated our… loved one with genuine kindness, respect, and compassion. During a very difficult time for our family, your humanity made all the difference. You didn’t just provide excellent medical care—you offered comfort, patience, understanding, and hope. Every interaction reminded us that our loved one was being cared for by people who truly care about their patients. Thank you for your professionalism, dedication, and the compassion you show every single day. It takes a very special kind of person to care for others with such empathy, and we will always be grateful for the support and dignity you gave our family. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything 🙏

Please do not bring your family member to this Hospital I’m warning you it’s the worst hospital I’ve ever seen. The staff doesn’t speak much English they are everywhere gossiping talking loud about their private life’s.… They make fun of the patients without any respect. They don’t help you they are not caring nor professional. I don’t know how we can have a place like this it’s like a prison. This place should be investigated and I will not stop until it is.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the excellent work done by the staff at Southern Wins, especially Dr. Maibis, an extraordinary human being—so compassionate, caring, and with a huge heart. From the very first… moment, she made me feel heard, understood, and supported, without judgment. Her empathy, professionalism, and dedication make a huge difference in the lives of her patients. Thank you for providing a safe space and for accompanying me with such patience, respect, and warmth during the most difficult times. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional professional with a truly wonderful personality.

Very clean. They take really good care of you. The only problem I had was a language barrier cuz sometime when I talk English they looked at me confused they're mostly Spanish speaking and that's okay but just the… language barrier where I had a problem for her and that they were exceptional caring compassion and they really took care of my son I can't complain.

The employees are awesome, they go beyond to helping me in what they can. The food sucks, but if you’re looking to loose weight then it the place to be. One thing though, if you’re not in the “looney toon” category, you… can see the reality behind.

My son was sent here unfortunately. I spoke with the head nurse put me on hold for a couple of minutes and hung up. I called them back same thing. This is completely not right. So unprofessional and pitiful.

My experience at Southern Winds Hospital was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I felt cared for and understood. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Patient Advocate Maibys Rivero, whose… professionalism, kindness, and genuine dedication touched my heart. Maibys goes far beyond her duties — she listens, supports, and stands by patients and their families with compassion and respect. Her presence brings comfort and hope in moments when it’s needed most. Southern Winds Hospital is very fortunate to have someone like her, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hospital to anyone seeking not only medical care, but human warmth and true commitment.

My granddaughter was hospitalized there. The doctors and nurses were very good, but when we requested her medical records, it took them over a month to deliver them. Mrs. Vilma was always justifying her poor work,… saying things like "tomorrow" or "the day after," and then claiming the signature didn't match—it was very rude. Extremely disrespectful. Look for a better place where they are more professional.

I want to sincerely thank Daneyis Perez Sandoval for her professionalism, compassion, and dedication in helping me through the process of supporting a family member in need. From the beginning, she took the time to… listen carefully, explain each step clearly, and make sure everything was handled properly and respectfully. Daneyis went above and beyond to ensure that everyone involved was informed, cared for, and treated with dignity. Her kindness, patience, and thoroughness made a difficult situation much easier to navigate. I’m truly grateful for her support and the genuine concern she showed for everyone’s well-being. She’s a true professional and an asset to her organization.

With Deepest Gratitude to Southern Winds Hospital There are moments in life when words simply aren’t enough—and this is one of them. Our family will forever hold a special place in our hearts for Southern Winds Hospital… and every single person who walked alongside us during one of the most painful and uncertain times in our lives. After our beloved father suffered a brain stroke, worsened by arthritis in his neck, he developed dementia. We were devastated, unsure of what the future would hold, and feeling lost. But from the moment he arrived at Southern Winds, we were embraced by a team whose compassion, dedication, and humanity gave us something we thought we had lost—hope. From the front desk staff who greeted us with warmth and friendly smiles, to the security team who made us laugh with gentle jokes—knowing our hearts were hurting—every interaction brought comfort. The cleaning crew, nurse technicians, and every staff member who passed by us made sure we were okay. They didn’t just care for our father—they cared for us, the family, with genuine kindness. Every day, our father was bathed, shaved, and dressed in clean, regular clothes. He smelled fresh, looked peaceful, and was clearly being cared for with love and dignity. These small but powerful gestures reminded us that he was being treated not just as a patient, but as someone deeply valued. We especially want to thank Social Worker Ernesto, whose guidance and support were a lifeline. Ernesto took the time to explain everything clearly, helping us understand the steps needed to bring our father back home. He was patient, compassionate, and truly committed to our father’s well-being. Alongside Ernesto, the physician assistant, nurses, caregivers and the doctors treated our father as if he were their own father or grandfather—with tenderness, respect, and unwavering care. The medical team kept us informed every single day, calling us with updates and making sure we felt involved and reassured. Their dedication went far beyond duty—it was personal, and it meant the world to us. If we could list every single name of the staff members who touched our hearts, we would end up writing a book. That’s how many people made a difference. From the smallest gestures to the most critical decisions, every act of care mattered. To the board of Southern Winds Hospital: please recognize the incredible team you have. The doctors, nurses, social workers, technicians, and support staff are not only skilled professionals—they are healers, comforters, and heroes. They gave our family peace, hope, and the gift of more time with someone we love deeply. Today, our father is home. He is responding to treatment, showing signs of joy, and doing better than we ever imagined. Even with the challenges of dementia, he is thriving—and we truly believe that the love and care he received at Southern Winds played a vital role in his recovery. To everyone at Southern Winds Hospital: thank you. Thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, your laughter, and your heart. You gave us more than medical care—you gave us healing, hope, and love. We will never forget what you’ve done for our family. With all our love and gratitude, From a Family Forever Thankful

Horrible hospital I hated it. The cigarettes are Seneca, but I brought my own least They let you smoke there. The man that injected me for no reason said, I wanted to jump the window, which was bs…. They just need… something to write about but very inappropriate. I wanted a woman to check me and assist me but apparently they tied me up did horrible procedure done to me just wouldn’t recommend this hospital. The food is absolutely horrible. Always have at least some food if you come here, they don’t let you bring house food has to be Fast food or restaurant.the injection that they gave me not once but three times who knows if it was mixed with something but I had a seizure and my eyes were going up and my tongue was out. It happened three times after being in the hospital and I also went inside, the hospital to get checked and nobody helped wouldn’t recommend you would not get any sleep here. Also this place doesn’t help you in anyway.
