About Hoy Recovery Program Inc – Velarde

Hoy Recovery Program Inc operates from Highway 68 County Road 41 in Velarde. The site sits in Rio Arriba County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Embudo, Los Alamos and Penasco. Distance matters here, and the nearest option is not always the one that fits.

Detox and residential treatment are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Detox and Rehab Services at Hoy Recovery Program Inc

Withdrawal management covers cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. What a first week looks like differs between providers more than the level of care name suggests.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Hoy Recovery Program Inc Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is Highway 68 County Road 41, Velarde, NM 87582, in Rio Arriba County. The catchment reaches Embudo, Los Alamos and Penasco. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

My son had his phone stolen by the workers who did the search of him when he arrived, yet they said to replace it but it's been over a year ½ which coat over $300. Also knowing they let people work at a factory for… funds which the main guy name "JR" steals money from the people who stay here. Also a lot of false advertising of the online , their was only chickens and a few lambs . Meaning NO FARM at all. 30-90 program and they don't allow you to see family or get any type of in person visit. One side you're basically locked down in a way of solitary for 30 days until the stay longer with no contact of family. Weird place to go for people who seek rehab. I also heard a few years back this place was a place where a Co worker raped the young women here . Research it, you'll find what I'm talking about. Plus the commissary was over priced and most of the time Stail and we were only allowed only a few cheap items that couldn't get us through the time here. I know this straight from my 90 day experience recently. Ask people from Farmington NM. MY PHONE WAS NEVER REPLACED IN ANY GOOD WAY....

I had 1ba really good experience at Hoy Recovery. I successfully completed a 90 day program during the summer of 2022 and since have returned home and also went back to work . I really enjoyed the months I stayed at Hoy… for the most part. It's not a resort or anything like that but it is a farm in the Rio Grande Valley of Velarde, NM. I met some g' /ood friends at Hoy 1 /r 1

Best place I could have ever gone, Hoy saved my life and taught me how to live a satisfying life with good coping skills and a tool box for recovery.. This place deserves more credit than they ever receive. I left in… 2018 and am still clean to this day. Got a certified peer support certification and now work in behavioral health and substance abuse myself. Go Hoy!

False advertisement of family being welcomed and family therapy offered, family involvement welcomed and encouraged, visitation offered. However this is totally opposite from reality. None of these services are offered.… Disappointing when that facility was chosen for that reason. They claim it’s due to COVID however the entire state has reopened and is business as usual. More then half of the state is vaccinated. Even the patients children 5 and 8 (the least likely to contract or spread COVID) where crushed when they begged to see their dad and were turned down they weren’t able to say hello while dropping of requested items and were OUTDOORS! Outdoors! Not enclosed in the facility, OUTDOORS and the items where sent back. They state online they will be in contact with family in regards to their loved ones treatment thru out the duration of the stay. Totally opposite of the truth they won’t even confirm your loved ones status nor allow any contact not even phone contact with them what’s so ever. This is a problem when someone is medically fragile and has several unaddressed needs. Complained about the false advertising of service that are not offered and it still has not been updated to reflect accurate information. Now because I choose to state the obvious the facility won’t communicate or work with me but go around me when their is a dire need. So beware and think twice before choosing this facility from our experience so far it has not even earned the one star I had to put on this review.

Not what it used to be.. They couldn't find a way for thing to operate smoothly. Plus the they sent me home week early, guess it wasn't because you have 30 days after a 7 day detox. Point is they made the mistake to send… me home early n still don't want to give me my certificate of completion.. Rip offs
