About New Freedom Center – Bismarck

New Freedom Center operates from 905 East Interstate Avenue in Bismarck. The site sits in Burleigh County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Lincoln and Mandan. North Dakota draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Hospital inpatient care, detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at New Freedom Center

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

New Freedom Center Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 905 East Interstate Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58503, in Burleigh County. The catchment reaches Lincoln and Mandan. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Opening hours shift with staffing, and an evening slot one month may not exist the next. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

How Much Does Treatment at New Freedom Center Cost?

Rehab costs in North Dakota without insurance usually run between $1,610 and $5,600 for a week of medical detox, between $7,000 and $30,000 a month for residential treatment, between $7,500 and $14,000 a month for a partial hospitalization program, between $3,000 and $9,000 a month for an intensive outpatient program and between $1,200 and $5,000 a month for standard outpatient care. That is the typical state cost. New Freedom Center’s own prices were not found when this listing was written.

It is reasonable to expect accommodation, meals, medical monitoring, the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling within the cost. It is less safe to assume that CBT, EMDR or medication are included. Contact New Freedom Center and ask what is included before budgeting.

Deeply Unprofessional and Potentially Harmful Conduct I am extremely disappointed in the way New Freedom Center handled the recent discharge of someone very close to me. With less than a week left in her treatment… program and clear plans in place for what would come next, she was suddenly discharged with no warning. She was released with no food, no money, no shelter, no transportation, and absolutely no aftercare plan. For a facility that claims to focus on recovery, this is not only unacceptable — it’s dangerous. Discharging someone in early recovery with no support or preparation puts them at extreme risk of relapse and undermines all the progress they’ve made. It’s hard not to view this as a financially motivated decision. The insurance payments had already been collected, and it appears they chose to free up a bed rather than support a patient through their final days in treatment. That’s not care — that’s patient dumping. Recovery demands compassion, structure, and responsibility. What happened here demonstrated none of those things. It was not just unprofessional — it was reckless. I strongly urge anyone considering New Freedom Center to think twice. If this is how they treat people at their most vulnerable, it speaks volumes about their true priorities.

I got on the website to see if I would like the facility and to see if I could see a room I would stay in for a bathroom or any of the medication rooms or whatever amenities they might have and also show on every… picture is some dog

I was trying to get help for my alcoholism at this unit. I had came in and talked to workers about my issues. We discussed about what would be needed to move forward. After I had collected what was needed the center and… myself set up at start date. On this start date I met a woman by the name Jackie who is the project director. Upon meeting this woman I was denied treatment. Jackie never took a look at any documentation I was asked to bring in. Jackie then informed me that she would call the police on me if I did not leave right away. Jackie was never threatened or talked to in a voice that was threatening. When I called the facility she would not give me the corporate office number. Told me I have the name of the company and that was enough. Then proceeded to hang up the phone on me because she was done talking. There was no disrespect on my behalf. She did not have to deal with me cursing at her but was comfortable disconnecting our call. This was so unprofessional by the regional manager about an issue ! Montez Mattison

Awesome place….. great staff…. Great resources. Very educational! They take really good care of you and make sure your aftercare is set up and that you are safe when leaving. They don’t just deal with addiction they… also deal with what lead you to addiction! They will bend over backwards to help you. You have to be will to accept it. They set you up for success! Thank you NFC!

Treatment services at NFC are excellent. All of the staff are great people who care about their clients success. I was at a different Treatment center previously that was BS compared to the level of care at New Freedom.… I highly recommend.

My sister may have been more forgiving but I just cannot. Great that housing and support groups are provided, but what good is it without continuous actual emotional and mental support. Talking with other recovering… addicts and going through my mother’s text messages with Josh, sounds like this place lacks in compassion and patience. Multiple threats on eviction for no obvious reason? Condescending messages to someone asking why they are being treating that way? We were told the environment is often cliquey and judgmental unless you’re following the exact steps of everyone else. Not a good place for someone in such a vulnerable state. He was clearly waiting, maybe even pushing, for her to leave voluntarily. Being rude and passive aggressive. The only thing holding us back from a lawsuit is the very fact she eventually volunteered to leave your toxic environment. You should not be running a rehabilitation center and speak to people seeking help the exact way you did. You should not be running a rehabilitation center if you lack compassion, understanding, patience, forgiveness, and generosity. This is not a stable place for someone in a state of vulnerability. And maybe I’m not understanding the whole situation so I’d be glad for you to enlighten me. Thanks for doing the bare minimum at least. For someone deciding this place, there are a lot better, stable, and supportive centers elsewhere.
