Community Behavioral Health – Cambridge Detox and Rehab Services

Recorded services at Community Behavioral Health – Cambridge are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Mental health and substance use are handled together rather than in sequence. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Community Behavioral Health – Cambridge Address, Location and Contact Information

The site is at 426 Dorchester Avenue in Cambridge, Maryland, 21613. Cambridge sits in Dorchester County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

If I could give them negative stars I would. These guys are sneaky so watch your back! They tried to bill me for the same intake twice- but with an added description on the second one. They changed the dates of the… actual appointments because my insurance denied them for trying to claim it 2 years later!! They have even claimed extra time or "established patient" repeatedly for dates and times on their own time. These are the same people that when I postponed my appointments after receiving an outrageous bill, did not call me back to establish the issue and then dropped me completely! I was on a medication that I could not just stop! When I called them on it, they told me I would have to intake and be reestablished again! I thought that was crazy for under a year, but I see I went through it 8 times apparently!!! Plus, their therapists suck.

Did not have a good experience here. Dr. Suni, the medical director wanted my son to transport his meds back and forth each week in an uber so that she can do a pill count. How dangerous is this. He could have… accidentally left the meds in the uber. Not to mention, he could just dump pills to be the # she needs to see. The professional and safe way to verify if he was taking his meds would be to order a blood test. which she did not. Not to mention, they never requested his medical records from previous doctor. they took my word for the medications he was prescribed. Not smart or safe. I could have made up the meds that he was prescribed. He is not longer going to this place. Dr. Suni called in his last prescriptions and included a med that he was no longer taking. Thank goodness I keep track of this stuff and told the pharmacy no to refill this med. Goes to show, she doesn't pay attention. His therapist was not helpful at all. his sessions were short (not the full time). checking with the insurance co. as I am sure he was billed for the full time. He was also billed for sessions that he never attended. it took them a couple of weeks to correct the billing. I am also checking with the insurance company as I am sure they did not correct the billing to the insurance company. Ms. Tina had no personality at all. Not the type of person you would want to open up to. She seemed miserable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Quite a ways out in advance, I put my appointments on hold. I did this with an explanation. The billing had not only never gotten with me, but then hit me with an outrageous amount. I was immediately discharged and not… even told! Who discharges someone without telling them when they are on medication that they cant just stop taking???!!! Incredibly unprofessional. My therapist however was quite awesome.

I was going to CBH for some outpatient services as well as for something and the court had let me pick what mental health facility I went to. So I decided CBH was the place. I was seeing a man at first but then he left… the practice. Then I meet Tina, and nothing prepared me for the living nightmare she turned my life into. She sent a message behind my back to my parole officer, and tried to convince everyone on my mental health team that she is the only one who could diagnose me. Her supervisor even spoke to me to get my take on the story and she decided Tina should NOT be allowed access to me. Tina made me cry, Tina made me feel small. She is an entitled white woman who could NEVER understand the feelings of a Latina woman WHO BY THE WAY is already marginalized!!!! I will NEVER EVER recommend this person place for addiction counseling go anywhere else but here. One star for Tina but 5 stars for Dr Jani, Danielle, Dale, Amanda, Dr Siddiqui, and Dr Chapla

I always receive friendly, professional, and fast help from CBH. From the front desk to the therapists, everyone here is very helpful and I could not recommend a better place to get Therapy. They can do your… appointments in person or Via telehealth super convenient.

Janellie is an incredibly nice, caring, and friendly individual. They consistently go out of their way to make others feel comfortable and valued. Their warm personality and genuine concern for others create an inviting… atmosphere, making them a joy to be around. Whether offering a listening ear or lending a helping hand, they truly embody kindness and compassion in everything they do.

Less than 1 Star !!! My sister has been going to this facility for a few months, and they do nothing! They set her up for appointments - several a week - that she cannot afford. They bill the patient incessantly - over… and above the insurance payments - and then demand the patient continue with appointments, but they provide no results. After several weeks (months), they still refuse to provide test results and assessments. The entire operation is a manipulation of the patient because they know the patient is vulnerable emotionally and to some degree socially. They strip the patient of dignity through their manipulation. One "therapist" named Tina has been abusive and indignant toward my sister, yelling at her, and demanding my sister follow protocols that she does not need. They make patients believe that they (patients) are not in control (of their own life) - precisely the dilemma most people need to be assured of - that they Are in control, they simply need to realize that and take (constructive) control. This operation is nothing more than a money-making scheme and needs to be shut down! Therefore, we will be filing a complaint with the AMA, and reporting them to the State of Maryland.

Very lovely experience. I went in here for an unrelated reason. But I had a very good time speaking with 2 of the nurses at the reception center. Those ladies gave me more information than the 5 Doctor's offices i had… visited earlier today. I wish them well. And I definitely recommend you visit for whatever you might need.

This place deserves one star only because I've had really good therapists (not too happy with how often I had to switch due to them leaving the practice.) The doctors are so-so, insisting on appointments even though I… get no meds from them. The office staff is subpar at best. After 3 years and numerous requests from me and my therapists, they continued to make appointments without contacting me first. There are better places to go for mental health treatment in this area, so my advice is to steer clear of CBH.

Wish I could give less then one star not worth the time and effort to even fill out a book of papers, asking things that are very invasive, they not even call back, and when I called them after they 3 days after they… said they would call they kept hanging up on me, DON'T GO, NOT WORTH IT

So apparently certain staffs feel entitled to have a say so or recommendations on folks person lives. And just unprofessional I will be discharging my kids soon! Good luck to new incomers!

Worst place ever . Don't bother find another provider . Changed systems late last year and still have issues with charts . Only thing they do some what right is billing. They send the invoice before your appt .… Definitely choose someone other than Ward .

I have been going to this place for years. An last month i didnt even get to see my doctor. Why? I don't know. So I had to see another doctor that I never met before. This month I went in for my appointment today and… sat for 45 minutes. Wasn't even given a notice when I got there that he was running behind. When I went up to the counter the girl went back to see how much longer he would be. She came back and said that it was going to be another 15 minutes. That means I would have had to sit there for an hour after my appointment time before I even got to see the doctor. NO! You gave me that time slot for you to see me. I am not going to wait. When your late for an appointment for the doctors they tell you you have to reschedule because you missed your appointment time. Well, hello...I do have other things to do besides sit here an wait on you.
