About Triple Track Treatment – Washington

Triple Track Treatment operates in Washington. The site sits in District of Columbia County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Detox and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Care offered spans more than one level, which means someone can move between them without changing provider.

Withdrawal management is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. The handover point between levels is where people most often drop out, so continuity is worth asking about directly.

Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Triple Track Treatment Address, Location and Contact Information

The service is based in Washington, DC 20008, in District of Columbia County. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. It is worth checking which entrance to use and where parking sits before a first appointment.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Let me start off by saying Triple Track has a great treatment team qualifications-wise with lots of experience on the medical & therapy side with nicotine addiction. They’re also seemingly nice people who care about… their work. However with me they were eventually very unprofessional & unreliable, in particular the therapist, Jen. The psych dr Kolodner prescribed me this anti-smoking medication, Varenicline, a couple weeks ago with the worst intense side effects esp after hitting the baseline dose (not too uncommon for the drug). I was vaping more than I ever was before on it and, after realizing there was no way I could live sanely on the med anymore, I went through a quite rough withdrawal period before getting off it. I thankfully am vaping much less nicotine now & feel much better. The dr never checked in during this initial med titration phase, although he was friendly, intelligent, & fairly helpful during the consultation / eval stage. The therapist, Jen, was also informative & supportive initially before mischeduling & missing appts, not following up on extra treatment resources I requested, and not checking in at all for a whole week (along with dr Kolodner) even though the program mandates a weekly individual therapy session with her. They also apparently have required weekly groups and meetings with the psych dr but no one set me up with those. My treatment experience here may be atypical as they may be letting me know indirectly they’d rather not bother treating me as I am a more extreme case. But even they acknowledged I’m putting great effort into sharing my issues and investing wholeheartedly in my recovery during the consultation/initial eval so I’m not sure why they would lead me on with treatment unless they’re trying to bill my insurance for work they’re not planning to do to make extra money. Anyway all in all Triple Track unfortunately didn’t really seem to care about me after a while and left me out to dry when I needed at least their presence the most. To be fair to them I’ll assume they’re just too busy and understaffed, in particular Jen. So if you decide to try them out please watch out for their treatment aloofness, inconsistency, & negligence.

We’re so happy to have found Triple Track! Jen and Dr. Kolodner recently came by our office to teach our team about their program, and we were so impressed by how knowledgeable, kind, and genuine they both are. They’re… now working with some of our patients to support them on their journey to quit smoking, and it’s wonderful to know our patients are in such caring hands. We love collaborating with a team that shares our commitment to improving overall health and wellbeing. Highly recommend Triple Track! — The Wisteria Dental Care Team

I know Jen Dorsey through our Bussiness networking group, and she’s amazing at what she does. She has such a caring and supportive way of helping people quit smoking or vaping. You can really see how passionate she is… about helping others live healthier, smoke-free lives. If you’re ready to make a change, I definitely recommend reaching out to her.

I am a psychiatrist proud of my practice for half a century. I saw a distinguished PHD patient intermittantly for several decades with much success EXCEPT for her continued cigarette smoking. She tried one thing after… another to no avail. She became amazingly adept at hiding her smoking from co workers and from even from her family. I referred her to Tripple Track with little hope of success. To my amazement she quit, not quickly but definitely. Her pride in this amazing accomplishment was exceeded only by the joy of her husband and children. And me, of course.
