About Open Door Missions – Omaha

Open Door Missions operates from 2705 North 20th Street East in Omaha. The site sits in Douglas County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Residential treatment and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Open Door Missions

Residential treatment and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential runs long-term, which suits people who have tried shorter stays without them holding. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Open Door Missions Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 2705 North 20th Street East, Omaha, NE 68110, in Douglas County. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Opening hours shift with staffing, and an evening slot one month may not exist the next. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

NOT BEING ALLOWED TO USE THIER WIFI ROUTER DUE TO CYBERATTACKS. AND WITH ME With me doing or studying cybersecurity I'm unable to actually learn and study this field I'm unable to get my license get a vehicle and best… in my license and the vehicle the open door missions facility or the staff there is not willing to invest in my bachelor degree my masters and my PhD and hire me so I'm not really sure what I can do other than traveling the world going to Israel and getting a passport getting an International passport So with that said. I'm gonna do what I volunteer and to help the persuade them I don't really need to further risk losing my bed. I don't have anywhere else to go. I need to get it into the program and with everything that I've said in this review they're not willing to invest in my education or my future Melody Bouska is not willing to invest in her future her HS or her Law Degree I'm not sure what else I can possibly do to help her.

As of 11/06/25 I am a student in the program. If you need a place to stay, come here. If you join the "program" get ready to be forced to volunteer like 40 hours a week. This place uses the students labor and is more… important to them then anything else. This mission couldn't function with out the students forced labor and they know it. Most the "staff" are past students/addicts and need training on how to interact with the guests, especially in TOC, which is the thrift store they run. Some of the staff are cool, but most dont have any business having the slightest of authority given to them. Their "drug and alcohol" program is a joke and they aren't even licensed as one, yet say they offer a 3.5 level of care. I have done a ton of research on this please and the CEO lady who runs it make 250,000$ a year. People are getting rich off this place yet they have a 501(C) 3 status, which means they are "non profit". Yet they will charge people rent to stay here. Rent is a profit. Also, they allow the emergency side people to be drunk and high and co mingle with the "students" who are serious about their soberity. They love to talk about triggers to relapse, yet they dont realize the let the biggest triggers of relapse walk through their front doors. I highly suggest anyone reading this, try to get into the Stephen Center or any other licensed drug and alcohol center.

Not to… mention my caseworker Matthew who has seen me in 8 different forms of human still never gave up. Even when I find a home again soon I know I’ll always have family out here in Carter lake!!!
