About Valley Hope of Atchison – Atchison

Valley Hope of Atchison operates from 1816 North 2nd Street in Atchison. The site sits in Atchison County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Leavenworth and Winchester. Kansas draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox and residential treatment are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Valley Hope of Atchison

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Valley Hope of Atchison Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 1816 North 2nd Street, Atchison, KS 66002, in Atchison County. The catchment reaches Leavenworth and Winchester. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

How Much Does Treatment at Valley Hope of Atchison Cost?

Self-pay rehab in Kansas commonly costs $1,400 to $4,200 for a week of medical detox and $5,500 to $22,000 a month for residential treatment. RehabSeekers did not find a price list for Valley Hope of Atchison when this page was written. The state figures give a sense of scale, nothing more.

A fee at Valley Hope of Atchison would normally be expected to include accommodation, meals, medical monitoring, the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling. That expectation comes from how programs are usually priced, not from the facility. Call Valley Hope of Atchison for a breakdown.

Very good place to go if you were needing help with an addiction very good workers. Everyone is nice all staff kitchen and maintenance and medical plenty of recreation to do to stay busy big classroom plenty of people… to listen to and listen to their addiction stories to try to help you cope with yours into eight in your recovery very good program. I was there last August and I am now a year and two months sober so I highly recommend this outfit. My brother went through it as well. A long time ago and it worked for him as well. Very good place sincerely Patrick W Brooks.

Saved my life. Is the best 30 days of my life I went from drinking 3 to 4 bottles of wine today to not drinking and being sober for nine years. Because of the fellowship and learning that I got from Vally Hope I have… been achieving my sobriety and being the best that I can be, I can never thank them enough For the encouragement, fellowship and learning that Vally Hope gave me

Atchison Valley Hope is truly an amazing place. I wouldn’t be sober today without the love, support, and understanding I received from the staff at Atchison Valley Hope. They truly saved my life and taught me a new way… of living a beautiful life clean and sober. I will forever be grateful! 100% recommend for anyone who is struggling.

38 years ago I walked in and have been sober ever since. Best thing I ever did for myself and my family. Excellent program with caring people to start you on your journey.

I contacted Valley Hope in Atchison on or about May 7th for an exploratory call while my wife was hospitalized with no diagnosis. I explicitly told them not to call me back — that I would reach out if I decided to move… forward. They ignored that and called me repeatedly over the following weeks anyway. Today they called again — and then asked what facility my wife had chosen for treatment. She is currently receiving care and that information is private. I refused to answer. That question should never have been asked. This organization saw a family in crisis and treated it as a sales opportunity. The repeated calls were bad enough. Asking where my wife is being treated crossed a serious line.

This is definitely the best place to go if you’re needing help. The staff is amazing and the environment is incredibly welcoming.

The nepotism in this place needs investigated, do your research on some of the owners, and his granddaughter? who also works at the facility… and her professional “experience”. I’m still trying to find more… information….. This is a “non profit” but very much so runs like a family business… key word, bu$ine$$. It’s sad to see people like this family will capitalize on some of the most vulnerable individuals (people struggling w addiction) to make a buck. This organization needs investigated. What type of treatment center that really cares about people, forces them to do things against their will? Hmm.

Valley Hope Atchison helped me find the Hope I was looking for. The first morning I woke up in their facility I was filled with a feeling of Faith, Hope, & Love. They helped me gain a different perspective on life and… encouraged me to find ways that I could help myself. Their staff is filled with highly educated people who have lived a life that brings people there seeking help. I have been Sober & Clean since April 8th 2020! Thank You So Much VHA!

Valley Hope Atchison helped me in ways I could never have imagined. You don’t go there because your life is going well, and they always treated me with the utmost kindness, dignity and respect. More imperatively, they… taught me how to begin to heal. The people that work there have come to be my family and I still keep in touch with my councilor to this day, only now as a friend. If you allow them, Valley Hope of Atchison will show you how to build a solid foundation for a future that is spiritually fulfilling, and most importantly, sober!

Valley Hope Atchison saved my life. They taught me about my addiction/alcoholism but most importantly how to love myself again. They truly love you until you can love yourself. I’ve been sober now for 3 years and can… honestly say I couldn’t have done it without them. They helped me build the foundation to a new life. The staff is attentive and caring. The follow up care is amazing as well.

As a mother, watching your child struggle with addiction is one of the most painful and helpless experiences imaginable. There were so many nights I lay awake wondering if my son would be okay, if he would ever find his… way back to himself. When he entered Valley Hope, I was filled with both hope and fear—but from the very beginning, I knew he was in a place that truly cared. The staff didn’t just treat my son—they cared for him. They saw the person he was beneath the addiction, and they never gave up on him, even when he struggled to believe in himself. That meant everything to me. They also supported me as a parent, helping me understand addiction and giving me strength during a time when I felt completely lost. Valley Hope gave my son tools, structure, and a sense of dignity again. It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was a real one. I saw glimpses of the boy I raised coming back, and for that, I will always be grateful. For any parent who feels the same fear and heartbreak I did—please know there is hope. Places like Valley Hope remind you that your child is still in there, and that recovery is possible.

I was in treatment at Valley Hope from Jan to Feb of 2026. It was a life changing experience. They did for me what another treatment facility could not. They literally saved my life. I would recommend VH to anyone… needing help. All of the staff were wonderful people. My case manager, counselor, and chaplain were excellent. The food was great (and there was plenty of it), the kitchen staff were wonderful, the housekeeping staff were wonderful, and the PCAs were all great.

The staff at Valley Hope, from the Director all the way to the Janitorial staff absolutely care about you and your recovery. Their sole purpose is to help people who suffer from the disease of addiction recover and get… their lives back. They all go above and beyond to set you up for success before you leave treatment. I love each and everyone of the staff members.

What a complete joke. They act like they care about the struggling addict or alcoholic, when all they care about is money. They told me that I was welcome for admission as long as I had a $ 5,000.00 down payment. Name… me a struggling addict or alcoholic that has five grand lying around. This is a stuck up, rich person rehab. It's universal, the center in Norton, KS is just as bad and it's in working man mid America.

Valley Hope changed my life. I am grateful for the experience I had there and the people I met. The staff is caring and empowering and the 24/7 cereal bar and chocolate milk was a nice surprise. I also appreciated being… able to go outside and smoke anytime I needed too.

It's been 3 and a half years since I was at Valley hope and am proud to say I am still sober today. Everyone from the counselors to the nurses, chaplains and even the kitchen and cleaning staff were so wonderful and are… apart of what makes it a special place. I just called them today because although I am sober I still have things like depression to wrestle with. They were able to help give me some resources in kansas city that might be a good fit. They truly care and are fully focused on what happens after you leave their doors! I absolutely recommend them to people if it comes up that they or someone they know is struggling with addiction. I strongly believe that if you are ready, they can help. I will always be grateful for the tools, resources and support they gave and have continued to give me!
