Pathways Inc – Ashland (Lansdowne Drive) Reviews
Accreditation and licensing tell part of the story at Pathways Inc. Reviews from patients and their loved ones tell another part, and the two are shown on this page so they can be read together.
There are pros and cons to Pathways. The pros are that they are good and kind caring people who are very supportive and they act like the family that you don’t have. The cons are they started making one clerical mistake… after another. They don’t want to hear it or address it or be bothered. So then you work to prove it and speak to a higher up thinking you can get somewhere but you actually can’t. They don’t admit their mistakes and instead correct and discipline you which is a toxic dynamic. Anything to come out on top and make the client bad or wrong. If this hadn’t happened repeatedly I wouldn’t have bothered mentioning it.
Our therapist Cook is amazing. He sets down and listened to Everything said. You can feel awkward about anything and He Will set down talk it threw with You and help You understand everything so You can cope with what… is wrong. Your time with Him is just that, it's Your time...He pays attention and isn't on the phone or anything. Best therapist EVER. Dr. Rhett is great only seen Him twice but He's amazing. He not only knows about the mental meds but He is like a full Family Dr. I told Him about my brain cancer tumor and The 2.2 by 2.4 measurements and He knew everything about that too. He's My Husbands Dr and He knows about the lung issues fibrosis and everything. Rhett listens too and can explain your medicine without looking on His phone like some Drs. He just knows about the medication and that makes me feel good because He must read and study the medicine to make sure it's what is best for You. Pathways is Amazing for Us. Plus My Wife gets side track watching the cartoons in the lobby 😀
There isn't enough space for me to write the problems I've had with pathways. I was charged with a dui and I'm court ordered to take dui classes and I had to sign up for the classes 10 days from September 17th or I face… jail time. We'll I was told by pathways several times in south shore ky which is down the street from me that they can help me. They waited 3 weeks to tell me they can't and that I would have to travel all the way to flatwoods ky in order to sign up. We'll my liacense is suspended and I can't drive. The flatwoods branch is way way WAY too far for me to get to. I do not have help. It's just me. I am disabled and can't afford a cab. So when I did get a ride and went there? It was IMPOSSIBLE to find the flatwoods branch. I got there half an hour too late to do the walk in for the assessment for dui classes. And I was told by the staff there that I'm out of luck. I needed to come back. Well the staff wasn't doing anything they were all standing around talking and on their phones. The min guy I spoke to was named Joe. All he did was stand there drinking coffee. He told me that he knew for a fact that I was able to go complete the dui classes in portsmouth ohio which is about 3 miles from where I live. This is not true. I told him I have to compete it in ky not ohio. This is not cool. At this point I have no idea what pathways even does. All that's happened to me so far in weeks is ive been lied to repeatedly. I've been told yes we can help you then it becomes, nope sorry. I don't understand what the difference half an hour makes when there wasn't anyone there and the workers were on their phones. Nopne was doing anything worthwhile. They then told me that Noone is trained for dui assessment but one person. Ans they told me to come back. Well trying to get a ride to and from south shore ky to deep in flatwoods ky is virtually impossible for me. I am not from ky. I do not have friends or family here. I'm from Ohio. This situation is incredibly unprofessional. If I can sue you I will. How do you expect people to get the help they need if you won't give them the help they need? What do you do? Because all I see is nothing but laziness.
Their counseling services have been a huge help to my daughter and my husband and I.
Therapy is hard but it helps. Have had great encounters with all staff so far.
Called to make sure that we could still be seen and was told that if we were seven minutes late that we would not be able to be seen and would have to reschedule. Walked through the door on the seventh minute, literally… to have the lady tell us that we would have to reschedule The waiting room was empty and only a couple cars in the parking lot . Very very sad attitudes for people who call themselves mental healthcare professionals.
I have been with Pathways since I was 20 I am 44!! Now Dr.Kahn was a joke but I have met some amazing therapist over the years and will remember each one! I have PTSD from a horrible past but I am workinv on it now!… Thank u Pathwsys therapist for all the years of hope pain and understanding u have done with me!! if u r suffering from mental physical or addiction issues they r there to help no judgment cause they have seen it all! give them a chance and if not they will assist you in finding what works for you! we all heal in our own way I pray each of us find what we r looking for to b who we need to b!
I love path ways
Absolutely terrible!! Would not recommend anyone to see these people. They're a joke. But, good luck finding someone else to see. Your choices are pretty much terrible service or no service in Boyd county Kentucky.
If I could give 0 stars trust me I would they took my 11 year old off a medication that worked very well for him I even talked to the higher up lady about it that didnt do any good please dont take tour child here they… dont care about thair well being
I have been going here for 10 years and this place is a big joke
I love pathways tr and my doctor Mary Ann edwards
Love Pathways wonderful staff, all areas. They have been great for my grandson, Weldon FRASURE.
This place is a complete joke. If you value your family, love your kids and want to keep them safe at home, DO Not get involved with these backstabbing idiots. The DCBS cabinet has them wrapped around their finger with… funding and will manipulate them to turn their backs against you in court. They lie, they make up fake stories and do whatever the cabinet wants in order to get their way. Dr. Z is a quack that couldn't hack it in a real medical facility (left Marshal University to work for Patheticways). She couldn't even recall when she graduated medical school when asked by a judge in court....that's some credibility, huh? Her testimony was against a mother and child that she didn't even know. Stay far, far away from Patheticways....there are far superior services in the area that won't turn against you. I'd have given zero stars instead, but had to give at least one.
They have one you see there for medicine that practices medicine without a medical license. She is rude as hell and does not know what she is doing. She actually threw a medicine script at me once Believe me she does… not care about you as a patient when it comes to your medicine. She is rude and only cares about the money and her control issues she has going..She is the one that needs counseling by the way she acts. The staff that works in the back twists your words around you tell them and love drama. The nurse there is rude as well. The nurse does not do his job.He does not call back. One time it took 3 times after I called and called for him to call me back. I could go on and on of what a bad place this is and I know they have lost many patients is the last few months because of what goes on there Oh, and another thing. They schedule your appointments when you been out of your medicine for days or a week before they can see you to get your refills. Happened to me several times. EVERYTHING is bad there. I can't think of one good thing about the place. BEWARE
The worst place to go. They charge you full price for secondary cheap health care. There are a few staff that are very rude. Not going to go into detail but avoid if you can. I was done very dirty there.
