About GateHouse Treatment – Nashua
GateHouse Treatment operates from 491 Amherst Street in Nashua. The site sits in Hillsborough County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include East Merrimack, Hampstead and Hudson. New Hampshire draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at GateHouse Treatment
Intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Waiting times move with capacity, and what was true last month may not hold this week.

How Much Does Treatment at GateHouse Treatment Cost?
Self-pay rehab in New Hampshire commonly costs $8,000 to $15,000 a month for a partial hospitalization program, $3,000 to $10,000 a month for an intensive outpatient program and $1,500 to $5,500 a month for standard outpatient care. RehabSeekers did not find a price list for GateHouse Treatment when this page was written. The state figures give a sense of scale, nothing more.
A fee at GateHouse Treatment would normally be expected to include the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling. That expectation comes from how programs are usually priced, not from the facility. Call GateHouse Treatment for a breakdown.

DETOX CENTER STOLE ALL MY CASH LEFT ME WITH 9 DOLLARS!
By far one of the best programs available.
This place saved my life. The staff here is amazing. These are some of the most understanding, helpful, caring and intelligent people I have ever encountered. They really can change your life. This place has taught me… that I am worth it. If you are lost in addiction and your sick and tired of being sick and tired. Please give them a call. I am so incredibly grateful to have had Gatehouse treatment, and their guidance in my recovery thus far this place is one of a kind top notch care. Thank you to everyone here.
Corinne is a caseworker at the Gatehouse Recovery center. She is great at what she does and can help you with whatever you need. She's helped me with alot of things and for that I'm grateful for. Most importantly she… takes her job serious and is very respectful. She's helped hundreds of clients and deserves appreciation. All around a great person. Good job corinne!
Jasmines amazing
The worst place I have been my counselor Delilah. She knew she didn’t even care. I would never go back she she’s the way the place i
You can earn privileges back here fast, such as car, and overnights with family, so its not super strict, its a place to transition. But theres still rules, so this place has helped me alot more then most. J-Mac… specifically is the most motivational speaker/counselor I've ever met, if you're struggling, try this place out.
Not the best experience with the program itself as far as groups but the staff were all genuine and supportive.
I'm more then pleased, this woman is literally one of the best therapist I've ever had, she actually cares, she's great with providing information, she's an all around privilege to be around. Hunter if you're reading… this thank you for getting me to open up and not judging me, the weight off my shoulders sense the day we've been talking has been lifted. God bless you! I only wish the best for you, thank you again stay amazing.
Based on my personal experience, I would 100% recommend GateHouse to anyone struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. I've been struggling with substance abuse for many years with bouts of sobriety in… between. I've seen my fair share of treatment center. None, in my opinion, compare to GateHouse. 1. The clinical team is top notch and go above and beyond to help educate clients and teach them new coping skills to ensure their success in recovery. Hunter (my clinician) met with me weekly and was a rock for me during times of uncertainty. She listens without judgement, shares based on experience and offers suggestions on new ways to improve my mental health. 2. Josh (Clinical Director) is a prime example of his profession. He has successfully helped my fiance and I work through past traumas, stemmed from our use, in weekly one-on-one Couple's Therapy sessions. There have been times where I've met with Josh when I was unsure of something and he's eager to be helpful. He leaves the door to his office wide open for clients. That says so much and I have a lot of respect for him and what he does for this community. 3. The curriculum is outstanding. It's informative, educational and absolutely attainable if put to use. Clinicians facilitate these groups, breaking the information down so that everyone has an understanding of what is being taught. I always leave Brittney and Geno's groups with a different, more positive perspective and new skills to practice in my daily affairs to better myself as a woman in recovery. 4. GateHouse Case Managers advocate for their clients and take time with each one in setting up aftercare plans and relapse prevention plans. They truly care for the success of their clients. Marcus (my Case Worker) has helped me attain appointments that better served my health. He has educated me on sober living and my options all while encouraging me to make choices that will be best for me. He's an amazing person and I'm grateful I was assigned to him upon my arrival at GateHouse. 5. During my stay at GateHouse, Couple's Therapy Group was formed, held once a week and facilitated by Geno. This group was crucial for my fiance and I and our road to healing. It was a safe space to connect with other couples who have gone through similar situations as us and gain new perspectives. Geno taught us new coping skills, constructive and healthy ways to communicate with one another, boundaries and how to ease ourselves back into our children's lives in the most caring and loving way. GateHouse's decision to incorporate this group into their program has benefited my fiance, myself and many more clients. 6. The BHT Staff are the absolute best that I've ever encountered. They too are working their own programs in recovery and have a personal understanding of what clients are experiencing. It's much easier for me, as an alcoholic, to listen to a fellow alcoholic rather than someone who doesn't have personal experience with substance abuse. Every staff member has their own amazing, unique qualities that make them an absolute asset to GateHouse. There's not one of them that isn't helpful, personable, and (most importantly to me) willing to hold you accountable in a loving, caring way so that you have the opportunity to better yourself. Personally, I believe they deserve a raise. They offer so much more to GateHouse other than their job duties. They have the ability to connect with clients based on their experiences inside and other side of work. Each one is a walking symbol of Hope and that the program does work, if you work it. All in all, I've had an amazing experience with GateHouse and feel that I have the tools that I need to start the next chapter in my recovery. Thank you GateHouse friends! You've truly made a difference in my life and will be dearly missed!
Was great at first. The people genuinely cared. But while I stayed there, I was constantly moved from house to apartment to house. They have one decent property which is the house you will see in most of the pictures.… They also have two apartment complexes, one was decent, and where I ended up originally, but the other was terrible. They moved the women out of the awful apartments and into the decent ones and moved the men in exchange. I next ended up at the decent sober house, was nice while it lasted. The other two sober houses were clearly where they put the frequent flyers and individuals for which there was little hope of recovery. The staff knew they would relapse, called them hopeless and put them in the least expensive house they could while leeching off their insurance, or whatever money their families were ignorantly willing to provide them. Don't get me wrong, this isn't just a problem with GateHouse. When you take an addict from their usual environment under the pretext of helping them and place them in an environment that is almost identical, with the same kind of people and influences, youre going to see minimal success. They know this, but the business is too good. I saw a lot of questionable things while I was there. Techs trading cash for clients food stamps, fights breaking out between executives and clients, among other things. Not to mention that they were/are facing a lawsuit over a client who was allegedly unable to recieve his medication for whatever reason from the staff, and who would end up throwing himself head first out of the second story window of the first apartment building I mentioned. You could tell who really cared and who did not. There was a tallish skinny guy with black hair and a goatee that I forgot the name of who was excellent, as well as a woman named Trish, who really put everything she had into helping us. The educational materials were standard, pre printed packets taken from your average substance abuse textbook, reading from the biggest book, etc. I definitely learned quite a bit that has become very useful in my everyday life. If you plan on going here, youd best be prepared to git a meeting EVERY DAY. It will suck at first, but you'll thank them later. There is invaluable information to be recieved in the halls, and it would be worth your time to commit to going to them regularly. Unfortunately, I must have come in right when the company was getting bought out or was suffering from the aftermath of the lawsuit, as things changed very quickly. I felt very comfortable, and hopeful at first. We would take trip to the library on rainy days, and hold kickball tournaments in the park for the staff and clients to connect and get away from the dead seriousness of addiction. These activities would occur less and less by the time I left, until they seemingly stopped altogether. I will admit that I did end up getting kicked out of the program. I stupidly left a THC pen that my roommate had given me on the floor of my room. Its good to know they won't let every addict who tries to be slick get one over on them, and they take it seriously. They are very stern, but also very fair at times when it comes to making a mistake. Overall, I had a decent experience, and I most certainly would not be in the position I am in today if it weren't for these people, but there is always room to improve.
My name is Kenneth Caudill, I entered GateHouse three months ago. In that time frame I learned more about myself and my addiction then I ever thought possible. I was scared and nervous at first with me being a first… time treatment guy. Upon entering gate house you meet the caring and in touch ppl you'll ever meet. They don't look at you like a dollar sighn, they look at you like a human being and a person. The respect and kindness is unbelievable to say the least. I was just an addict and alcoholic who messed up and came thru there doors, but they made me feel right at home and like a person. The staff there will walk you thru the steps explaining everything to you as you go. They help you get comfortable and really at ease in the halls. They make sure they help you with all your needs from dentistry to EBT to eye glasses and so much more. They truly are an amazing bunch of genuine human beings. The instructors there are all well qualified and for me geniuses far beyond what I can see. There not only there to help you recognize your addiction and how to deal with it on an everyday basis. But to lend yiu an ear when yiu need it, or talk to you when things aren't going well. The techs are just as super amazing, friendly humerous and always willing to listen or poke jokes to make you smile. From transporting to UAs to just being genuine human beings the techs rock.... My thoughts " I said to myself. Im scared and I cant do this" Collin said "bro you can, I got you " Tab sealed the deal by saying we're happy your here, this is where you will get better" I believed them both. I hold the house staff aka techs high up there not just be ause I was a client but because I had a band of brothers willing and able to help me when I was lost" Between all of the techs at the houses and clinical, the instructors at clinical to the upper management all around I could not be more genuine then screaming "THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME" I will never forget any of you and I appreciate you 10,000 percent... Much love and admiration Ken Caudill Jr.....
My husband went there to get sober and the staff controls meds like every program does but his meds came up missing and also I mailed him a 100 dollar gift card that the staff knew and controlled the mail and that came… up missing also! they were very rude to me when I called to complain about his meds coming up missing and mail coming up missing. I wouldn't recommend this program to anyone. Other people have said this place sucks id recommend going to process in Nashua they are alot more professional there
I have had amazing experiences here, I’ve learned new ways and skills to cope my addiction to alcohol. I’m still in treatment here, and I would like to share with you all how I’ve been treated and how I will continue to… be treated. The staff are amazing they are always there to help with anything; talking about things, if u need to get it off your chest, getting you what u need to be successful. I have a few favorite staff, those people include; Kyle Haskell, Collin Darby, and Wayne Theriault. These staff members have helped me on my journey to recovery, and will continue to do everything in their power to help me get to where I need to be to be able to stand on my two feet.
Hello, if you or a loved one is suffering, or has just hit rock bottom from substance abuse, the Gate House has your best interest!!! They offer a 30 day up to 60 day program…. They have an outstanding success rate, and… all the staff is outstanding, caring, and loving!!!! I myself am a graduate of the Gate House…. If you have tried other programs, and are still struggling within that vicious circle, I wholeheartedly suggest you give them a try!!! Treatment is also covered by most insurance companies…. Yours truly: Glenn Rivet
I’ve had a great experience at gatehouse. The staff as a whole went above and beyond for anything I needed no matter what it was I knew I was covered. Gatehouse is going to be a huge part of the reason I will stay sober… from here on out. Love all the staff and the program!
This place truly helped save my life and I couldn’t be more grateful!!! The staff are amazing and have so much to offer. Between their experiences, strength and hope combined with a passion for what they do this… absolute power team will give you all of the tools and resources you need to combat mental health and addiction. The whole case management team is right there to help you with whatever you need and they always encourage you to come find them at any time . They’ll help to set up appointment get In touch with attorneys and things you might not even realize you need. I was parred with a lovely young lady named Corinne and she’s absolutely amazing it’s truly a blessing to have had such a dedicated person on my team to help me every step of the way. Also from the bottom of my heart want to thank 1 particular group facilitator she was my rock through and through and I consider the more than just a friend and she goes by MJ. It's been great I am very very impressed with gate house as a hole and Sheila personally. They have helped my journey immensely.
Terrible place
Marcus is the best case manager I have ever had. And he truly cares about his people. I have nothing negative at all to say about the treatment center and the folks that work there. Thank you soo much for all you guys… did for me. MARCUS is the best
Shout-out to Sheila McLaughlin wonderful job shout-outs to Heidi, cam, Brittany,Kyle, hunter, megan,mj,mel, corinne
Gatehouse Treatment center has forever changed my life. I’ve been struggling with my addiction for a little bit and when i came to gatehouse the staff welcomed me with open arms. I cannot say enough about the staff.… Kind, caring, understanding, empathetic, you name it. I love every staff member but there is a few that have truly listened to me and tried so hard to help me through the tough times. Sheila and Russell have seen me go through hell more than once and have always been extremely helpful. I first met Sheila as a BHT and she was always there for me when i needed to vent. Russell was always there to make me laugh when i feeling low. I couldn’t be more appreciative. If you need to help with your addiction Gatehouse is truly an amazing place to get help.
On my very first day at Gatehouse I was very uncomfortable if the unknown and in fear of change. I sat in the back of the class and didn't say a word until I didn't anymore. It was because of John Mylly and the rest of… the staff that I came out of my shell and became a better person. I spoke in groups and I am still sober today because óf Gatehouse. Still to this day I continue to grow and be in the journey that I am in because my case manager John Mylly still picks up the phone for me and to help me. Whatever I need if he can he helps. I'm so very Grateful for the giving hearts at this program. I would highly recommend Gatehouse to anyone. I still stop in to say hi to everyone but mainly to see John he is an amazing man and he's more than willing to help anyone if he can. Thank you to all the staff at Gatehouse for the help I needed to get me where I am today.
Awesome place!! Words cannot describe how much GateHouse helped me. Friendly/professional staff. They really helped me in every way they could. Thanks again to the GateHouse staff. I didn't want or need for anything… while I was there!!!
