About Good Neighbor Community Health Center – Columbus

Good Neighbor Community Health Center operates from 4321 41st Avenue in Columbus. The site sits in Platte County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include David City and Lakeview. Nebraska draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Good Neighbor Community Health Center

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Naltrexone is available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Don’t take any appointments unless you call at the beginning of the month and that’s only a possibility. Biggest joke ever

I have been a Patient of the clinic for 3 years now, and it has always been stellar care. Providers and Medical Staff take the time to address your concerns and make you feel heard. I would recommend the Clinic to my… Friends and Family without a doubt.

Good Neighbor Community Health Center is such an important part of our community. Affordable healthcare is something everyone deserves, and this team goes above and beyond to make that a reality. It’s clear the staff… could earn more working in the private sector, but they choose to stay and serve because they genuinely care about making a difference. From medical and dental to behavioral health services, the care here is compassionate, respectful, and truly centered around the people they serve. We’re lucky to have them.

just now New I’ve never had an issue until this year. My kid had her 5 year old shots and they gave her the c0vid one without asking me. It wasn’t until I went to the front desk and the (always rude) receptionist told… me I could schedule her next dose in a few months, that I even knew she was given the vaccine. I was shocked and told her what was going on and how I didn’t want her to get that vaccine. She just blank stares at me like they always do. I will be leaving this clinic and never returning. Not sure how people can get away with not even helping or caring, it’s a clinic and the patients always come first.i have no words with how angry I am.i just hope nothing happens to her since there’s little to no research on the vaccine and i love how i told them I only wanted the shots she NEEDED for school, not the ones they felt like just giving her without asking me first !

Please do not go to Brian Obrist if you are seeking a behavioral health professional who has any compassion at all. He is dismissive and down right rude if you mention ANY issues you may be facing or if you have gotten… a diagnosis elsewhere. The only reason I am not giving one star is due to the phenomenal support staff.

I've been trying to get an appointment for weeks and they always tell me to call back next week, but when I call they're already fully booked two weeks ahead and they tell me to call back the following week. Terrible… service!

I came to Nebraska to bring back my mother. Got the opportunity to take her to the last appointment here. I am truly in awe on how well they love and care for my mother, despite the language barrier since my mother… doesn't speak English. Dr. Rachel Glidden was very thorough and helped me greatly with catching up with everything my mother is going through. Even at the end of my mother's appointment, there were more nurses making sure to say goodbye and let her know how much they love her. Seriously, I wish California hospitals learned from GNC Hospital. So as you can tell, I highly recommend this hospital and you won't be sorry.

My mom is really sick right now , we are in the hospital , in emergency 🚨, just because The doctor Brian forgot to give the medicine for the pharmacy on time , we had this problems just we are exhausted about this .… This is completely unacceptable because we are talking about the life of a human and he doesn’t have any responsibility.

I do not recommend it. They gave my daughter a vaccine she didn't need, and their response was simply, "Sorry, we already gave it to her." The problem with arriving in a new country without knowing how things work. I… don't recommend it. Good Neighbor Community Health Center is so affordable and overall their staff are pleasant. Their services are limited in scope, and if one needs a specialist's help, you won't find it here. While overall my… experiences have been positive over the years, I've had problems with being treated with disrespect by several staff during 2020, including Rigler, Harms, and front desk. Rigler was quite rude, which in past years he had not been, although he did drop the ball re: my asthma/breathing issues and didn't refer me to anyone else or give me a prescription, just a sample inhaler with no followup. Harms was never actually rude to me directly, he just disappeared without giving me a prescription and note for influenza B, so I had to come back the next day to get that. These same people have been pleasant at other times prior to 2020. Other doctors and nurses have always been great. The Hispanic doctors are great, the nurses are great, Amy Lyon is my primary, and I like her, but I can no longer schedule with her at this location, last I knew, and the front desk would not tell me how to schedule with her at her other location, which I've never been to and don't know its name even. Good Neighbor reception denied me covid 19 services, unless I wanted to wait a week to get in. I had to drive much further to get tested in another town. The front desk person did offer a doctor to call me so I could get authorized for testing, but no return call was made, as promised. I waited. Not impressed with deterioration of quality of front desk and reception service during the pandemic. At least for me, they became much ruder than before. Also, my relative cannot get the clinic to answer or return calls, to get an appointment. It's unfortunate that the most affordable clinic in town is basically a zero for my family at this time.
